President Trish

Welcomed all and delivered a number of notices to members.

  1. The Caterers due to commitments under their contract will not be finishing on the 27th but President Trish would like your suggestions regarding an appropriate way thank to them when the time comes.

  2. For the third time we were unable (due to technical problems ) to see the video of the Produce Collection taken by Harry’s son.  

  3. Riverhead Cruise.  Those going  to be at the Jolly Farmer by 8.45 am Sunday.  Cost for the bus is $22.00 per person and Sue will collect this.

  4. April 10th we are going to Totara Hospice. This is a partners night - cost $25.00 time 6.00 for 6.30

  5. April 24th visit to Rex Benns Collectables  - meal at the Jolly.  Further details to follow.  

  6. President Trish change of mobile number.  Use 021 526 018 from now on.


Guest Speaker


Theresa Liebenberg who is the community fundraiser & liaison for major donors for the Blind Foundation.  Theresa gave a very interesting talk on guide dogs and pointed out that this section of the Blind Foundation is not government funded and is reliant on donations and fundraising by groups such as Rotary.  

President Trish presented her with a cheque for the $,1600 raised at the Country Kitchen.  In thanking the club for this Theresa expressed her personal thanks for the friendliness shown to her by club members and were it not for the fact she lives in Orewa we may have signed up a new member !

No notices tonight but announced that we had 21 members in attendance plus three one-minutes to follow.
